Petra takes after her dad in one main aspect: she really *really* likes girls.  Yes, she's a lesbian, got a problem with that?  She's very serious about achieving her dream and getting things done, and if anyone stands in her way they just better watch out.  She tends to be violent sometimes, especially when she sees someone being cruel to a Pokemon (if she were there in "Charmander: the stray Pokemon", forget about just ordering him to go and get it, she would have punched Damien's lights out).  This and her over-emotional side are her main flaws.  But she knows a lot about Pokemon strategy, she even knows which individual Pokemon are weak against other Pokemon and what moves to use.  She also knows her way around the different towns, because she came home from her own Pokemon journey a few years ago.  Her role is to show Aoife the ropes, and she does that very well.  Later on when the group meets Ruari, she and Petra become...a little more than just friends.  It was an accident, really, they just intended to have a fling but it became more than that and they decided to "take it to the next level" or somesuch.  And Petra and Ruari being who they are, they're very open about their relationship and they hold hands in public and figure that if anyone has a problem, tough. 

Appearance 
Really short, purple hair (kind of a pixie cut), with one longer bit hanging in her face, partially covering her right eye.  Her eyes are gray, and she usually wears a gray sweatshirt and blue shorts. 

Pokemon 
She only has a few, because she thinks it's too hard to raise a lot of Pokemon.  With only five she can give them more individual attention and they'll grow faster. 
Golem: her starting Pokemon was a Geodude, which she got in Mount Moon, and she raised it to a high level and it evolved (twice). 
Onix: She caught this and Rhyhorn on her Pokemon journey. 
Rhyhorn: Caught on her Pokemon journey. 
Mr. Mime: It's actually a female Mr. Mime, and its name is Mina (although she hardly ever refers to it by name), and it has purple hair. 
Jynx: A male Jynx, actually.  She traded it for a Kingler she caught. 

Relationships with the others 
Aoife: She thinks Aoife has a lot of potential as a trainer, and will help her every step of the way. 
Fawn: dislikes her as much as Aoife.  Petra has to admit, Fawn is a good trainer, but she doesn't get the "quality over quantity" thing. 
Sora: At first, she falls all over Sora, but after a couple days the novelty wears off and Petra just thinks of her as a good friend. 
Aidan: Aidan treats her like one of the guys, and Petra returns the favor.  Even though he's kind of quiet sometimes, Petra likes him and is good friends with him. 
Ferio: When she first met her, Petra went into flirting-with-a-girl mode, but, like Sora, after a while, when Petra saw her real personality she didn't like her as much anymore.  But Petra thinks of Ferio as her equal when it comes to Pokemon training, just doesn't like her cold attitude. 
Ruari: Well, obviously, Ruari is her girlfriend later in the series.  They have quite a bit in common, and they get along just fine. 
Team Rocket: Petra never falls for Bonnie, who knows why.  Probably because they tried to steal Mina.
Ermynne: Petra can be pretty perceptive sometimes...she figured out that Ermynne had a crush on Aoife.  Still doesn't like her much, though, but LOVES her sisters (of course, they're women aren't they?)
