| Aoife is actually
a lot like Ash (and like Misty also). She's very hyperactive, and
if she gets near sugar, beware, because she'll be up until midnight running
around. However, like Ash, she's incredibly stubborn and "giving
up" is not in her vocabulary. Seriously, she's probably never used
the phrase in her life. She's not stuck up like Misty kinda was though.
She stands up for herself and others, although she wouldn't beat people
up like Ferio probably would. She's not violent at all, just during
Pokemon battles, which she considers to be okay since...well, since it's
a Pokemon battle and that's what you're supposed to do in a battle.
She's not too bright, but at least she knows something about Pokemon (as
in, she wouldn't use her Pikachu against a rock Pokemon like Ash-baka did).
She's not nearly as arrogant as Ash was either, and she doesn't go around
bragging every time she wins. She also has a rival, like Ash did,
and it just so happens to be Gary's daughter (he married Giselle of Pokemon
Tech).
Appearance
She has short red hair,
chin-length, like Misty in Ghost of Maiden's Peak when she takes her hair
down at the end. She has green eyes. She wears a white shirt
with a blue stripe across, and a blue cropped top underneath. She
also wears denim shorts and white tennis shoes with blue socks.
Pokemon
Chu-Chu: this is her first
Pokemon, and it's a Pikachu. She got it when Ash's Pikachu had babies
(people say it's a male, but I'm making it a female), and Aoife got one
and Eoin got one too. Chu-Chu is her closest companion, and they
share a mutual respect.
Nidoran
Rattata: She had this for
a while, until she traded it to get Abra.
Spearow
Bellsprout
Pele: this is a Magby (new
G/S Pokemon, see the New
Pokemon page) that she got from Bill as part of a study on twin Pokemon.
Abra: She traded her Rattata
for this, and she can control it even though she's not really psychic.
Machop
Aerodactyl: She only had
this one briefly before she traded it to Sora.
Vaporeon

Fawn: Used to be friends
with her, but doesn't like her anymore because since she got her Pokemon
license she's been acting like a snotty little brat.
Fawn's minions: Aoife doesn't
admit this, but she kind of has a crush on them. She feels sorry
for the poor guys.
Petra: She really respects
Petra for many reasons, and thinks of her as a role model (but thinks she's
a little over-emotional)
Sora: Sora is like a sister
to Aoife, they really get along well together.
Aidan: Aoife doesn't interact
with him very often, he's "just there" as far as she's concerned.
However, she looks up to him too because he's made a name for himself as
a trainer/researcher. Doesn't quite get why he idolizes Bill so much,
though.
Ferio: Oy vey. Aoife
does _not_ like Ferio. Thinks she's a bully and unnecessarily cold
and mean. The only quality Aoife admires in Ferio is her wisdom,
Pokemon knowledge, and strength.
Ruari: Thinks she's okay,
but Ruari's obsessiveness freaks Aoife out a bit.
Team Rocket: It really annoys
Aoife to have to fight them all the time, but she thinks Clyde is kinda
cute, and she sees that he's not really a bad guy after all (relationship
possibility right there)
Ermynne: Hates Ermynne almost
as much as she hates Fawn, but gets used to her after a while.

Japanese name: Tajiri Misao
Meaning: Aoife's just an
Irish name I like a lot, and Ketchum is obvious considering who her parents
are. (her name is pronounced Ifa, not at all like it's spelled) Her Japanese
name means loyalty, and I got her last name from Satoshi Tajiri, Pokemon's
creator. Because he named Satoshi (Ash's Japanese name) after himself,
so wouldn't he give Ash his same last name as well?
Nicknames: Fawn calls her
Aphid and Leafy (?), Sora calls her Pidgey, and for short people call her
Aif (pronounced eef)
