Aidan is, basically, a big wimp.  Sometimes, although when it comes to Pokemon battles he can be completely merciless, especially against Team Rocket or anyone who wants to hurt his friends.  He's very quiet when Aoife-tachi first meet him, but after a while of being with him he speaks up and puts his occasional 2 cents in, giving Aoife advice or explaining something to her.  He's a really nice guy, and he won't raise his voice and he'd NEVER hit anyone except in self-defense.  His flaw?  One word: Hitmongirl.  Ever since he first saw Ferio when he accompanied Ewan to a gym leaders' convention he's been in love with her nearly to the point of obsession.  He didn't know her name, only that she was a year older than him (he was 12 at the time) and that she trained fighting Pokemon.  He swore that he would meet her again, and he did, seeing Aoife's inviting him along as a way to get out (he hates Lavender Town and he's always wanted to leave), see the world, and possibly meet the girl he'd seen at the convention.  And he does, but she hates him (nothing personal, Aid, she hates everyone), which makes him discouraged, of course.   

Appearance 
Taller than Aoife and Sora, same height as Ferio, shorter than Petra, although he's kinda short for his age.  Very pale, dark eyes, and very light blond hair, almost whitish blond.  His haircut is kinda like Bill's, and you can be pretty sure he didn't do that by accident.  Oh yeah, and Aidan's a guy, just so ya know... (oh, come on, like you couldn't tell from that pic over there) --> 

Pokemon 
Marowak: His starter was a Cubone that he found in the tower, and it evolved into this. 
Gastly: his first ghost Pokemon, given to him by his dad. 
Gengar: he traded a Tentacool for Kieran's Haunter, and it evolved into a Gengar, luckily for Aidan. 
Ditto: Duplica's Ditto and Aidan's father's Ditto had babies, and they gave one to each brother. 
Xerox: Ewan didn't like his Ditto, so he gave it to Aidan to raise.  Since it was a trade, it grew faster than Aidan's other Ditto and it evolved into Xerox.  (see New Pokemon page) 

Relationships with the others 
Aoife: He thinks she's a cute kid, although she thinks he's a bit weird about Bill, they get along anyway. 
Petra: Aidan gets along better with her than with any of the other girls, treating her like one of the guys. 
Fawn: He never outwardly expresses his dislike for her, but when she came to his gym he beat her, so he has something he could potentially lord over her, but he's too nice to do that. 
Sora: Heh, Aidan's so naive, he doesn't realize that Sora likes him until she tells him so.  Before that he just thinks of her as a friend and nothing more. 
Ferio: Well, I've already explained this.  He loves Ferio because he saw her at the convention and yadda yadda I already explained this. :p 
Ruari: They have something in common, that is, their admiration of Bill, so they have lots of stuff to talk about (but Aidan and Ruari are only in a few episodes together, so they don't have much time to really interact that much). 
Team Rocket: He feels sorry for them, kinda being dragged into the criminal business, and he can really relate to them but he always kicks their butt in battle anyway, just for self-defense. 
Ermynne: Hasn't met her yet.  Probably wouldn't like her...or maybe he would because she's like Ferio?

 Real name: Aidan Specter 
Japanese name: Yonaka Hokou
Meaning: Aidan's just an Irish name that I like, it actually means fire but that has nothing to do with Aidan himself.  Specter means ghost.  Yonaka means "the middle of the night" and hokou is something like "to walk", so..."he walks during the dead of night"?  I dunno, that's what I was going for.
Nicknames: Aid for short, and Ferio calls him Casper the Cowardly Ghost. ^^;;
